Pathways to Politics for Women

Changing the face of politics

Pathways to Politics for Women at the University of Canberra is helping to increase the number and diversity of women in Australian politics by equipping more women to boldly embrace their political ambitions, thrive as leaders, and make a profound contribution to society.

Through comprehensive practical training, workshops, mentoring and career-long support, the program provides unparalleled expertise for women who are serious about driving change through political leadership.

  • Australia’s most comprehensive and award-winning political training program
  • Learn to be the politician you want to be in a safe, inclusive space
  • Help shape Australia’s political landscape
  • Accessible, diverse and fully-funded

Since its beginnings, Pathways to Politics for Women has helped hundreds of women across Australia run for office. To date, the program has nationally achieved 84 electoral successes across the political spectrum and at all levels of government.

The University of Canberra program is open to women residing in the ACT and regional NSW.

Program participation is fully funded through the generous support of the Trawalla Foundation and the University of Canberra.

Travel and accommodation bursaries are available for all rural and regional participants thanks to our Rural and Regional Access Partner Minderoo Foundation – ensuring equal access for women nationwide.
